Halt Privacy Policy
Effective from: October 16, 2026
Halt is a browser extension by Aethereal (aethereal.top) that warns you about phishing sites and dangerous wallet transaction requests. This policy explains what data is processed and where it goes.
In short
- Site checks happen on your device. The list of sites you visit is never sent anywhere.
- Warnings and their explanations are also produced on your device. The extension sends no data to our servers or to anyone else.
- We never collect your wallet address, balance, seed phrase, or private key.

The check result for each tab is kept temporarily in your browser (chrome.storage.session) so the popup can show it, and is cleared when the browser closes.
Where data is sent
Nowhere. The extension has no server and makes no network requests. The phishing list and detection model ship inside the extension and are updated through extension updates on the Chrome Web Store.
The "Report" link only opens our community page in a new tab; anything you write there is subject to that platform's policies.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share data with advertisers.
- We don't build user profiles or accounts.
- We don't load code from outside the extension.
Limits
Halt is not a security guarantee. New sites or scams may not be detected yet. Always double-check the site address and the transaction details in your wallet.
